The other day while prepping to film my thrifted looks for the week, I came across a pair of Zara platforms shoes that I’d thrifted nearly 10 years ago and had never worn. I was always afraid to wear them because they were sky high and I felt as if I was walking a tightrope just to stay upright! I decided to wear them to work. I did really well that day (I eventually put on flip flops, though!). I decided to brave the task of styling them for an Instagram reel. This time I wanted to add a little two-step to bring a some of my personality into the video (If you know me, you know I don’t dance!). Well, I took things a little too far! Watch until the end…

Now that you’re done laughing and possibly peeing your pants over this, I thought this may be a teachable moment!

  1. Sometimes your first thought is the right one. I was right to be concerned about the height and the make of this shoe! It was a reason I hadn’t worn it them in 10 years! Will I throw them away, probably not!🤣

  2. After I put on the shoe, it wasn’t a good idea to venture into dancing and twirling around in them. I pushed a little to far too fast. I should’ve paced myself!

  3. Even if I did fall and bust my butt, it wasn‘t the end of the world! I can always get back up, dust myself off, and put on another pair of shoes!🤣

Love Always,

The Jones Girl
