I Asked God for the Sun ☀️

Updated: Mar 20

The planning took months. I’d contacted the photographer and coordinated with the videographers to work on a “passion” project of mine. I felt like God was leading me to do something creatively different. Something I’d never done before. Produce my own short film and shoot an editorial for another project at the same time. I’d written the storyboard, hides myself as the main character (staying under budget), reached out to the musical producers for the original score, arranged fittings from local boutiques, as well as site visits and film permits! WHEW! But there was not one moment of feeling overwhelmed. Whatever God instructs me to do, He also provides for it. The weather had been perfect leading up to the shoot day. But the night before, it started to rain! I started to think about ”Plan B” options just in case I could no longer shoot outside in the gardens like I’d planned. Those thoughts were dismissed. I’d committed to go with God and went to sleep. The following morning I woke up to more rain. As I headed to my makeup appointment, there was such a supernatural peace that covered me and WOULD NOT let me freak out. As I headed to the garden (a 45 minute drive), it continued to rain. I unloaded the car, went into the dressing area and put on my first look. Then...the rain stopped! I shot the first look with a slight overcast and a little dampness on the ground but all was well. Look number two. While it had stopped raining, I still needed the sun. So I asked God for the Sun to appear. And you immediately it appeared. Look number three. I asked God for the wind. He blew such a gentle breeze my way and caused every image that I needed to be realized. I didn‘t post more photos because they will appear in my editorial project later this year. Ask God for the Sun. He able and willing to oblige. ❤️

Love Always,
